Kudos to you on the very timely and appropriate blog post.

Over the last few months, I have been rather outspoken on the importance of community involvement, even on the clock. I have taken that the side of interaction through Twitter and others blogs. I have learned a lot, but my blog has sat rather untouched with only 4 or 5 posts over the last year. That has served me very well up to this point, but something interesting happened.

After a few months of involvement in the community, and dragging my co-workers along for the ride, I found that I had lots of knowledge and a desire to allow that knowledge to push my career forward. However, to leverage that knowledge, I need to sell myself internally some more to create those opportunities I want.

Hopefully over the next couple months I can put some of these thoughts into action and get my blog going. Thanks again for the great advice.Wade Wachshttp://www.wadewachs.comnoreply@blogger.com
